Miriana Conte served "Kant" and will represent Malta in Eurovision 2025
Miriana Conte won Malta's national selection competition for Eurovision 2025 and will represent the nation in Basel with the song "Kant"

EBU censors Malta's Eurovision 2025 song "Kant"
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has decided that the word "Kant" must be removed from the song's title and lyrics.
We expect the altered version of Miriana Conte's song to be released in March.
No more eternal commercials, no more breaks every two minutes. The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is officially over and with that a new Maltese representative in Eurovision.
Both the jury and the public had a vote in the matter, and once all votes were counted Miriana Conte was crowned as the winner with the song "Kant."
"Kant" was written by Benjamin Schmid, Matthew Mercieca (Muxu), Miriana Conte, and Sarah Evelyn Fullerton.
Tonight's show was broadcast live from Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali and hosted by the Semi-finals' hosts Valentina Rossi, Davide Tucci, and Pauline Agius. Sarah Bonnici (Malta 2024) served as an interval act.

MESC 2025
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 (MESC) will have two Semi-finals and a Final. Overall 24 songs will be presented, 16 finalists, one will win and represent Malta in Eurovision 2025.
The three shows are being hosted by Maltese entertainers Valentina Rossi, Pauline Agius, and Davide Tucci, and all shows will be broadcast live from the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre, Ta' Qali. The voting decision will be split between the Maltese public and a jury.

Malta in Eurovision
Malta debuted in Eurovision back in 1971, and has participated in the contest 36 times since then – without any victories.
Their best results are two runners-up finishes in 2002 (Ira Losco - "7th Wonder") and 2005 (Chiara - "Angel"). They came last in 1971, 1972 and 2006 and in their Semi-finals in 2023 and 2024.
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Malta has qualified for the Grand Final 10 out of 20 times.
