Væb

Væb is a duo made up by brothers Matthías Davíð Matthíasson (7 December 2004) and Hálfdán Helgi Matthíasson (4 June 2003) who make Icelandic electronic music.

They have been active in the industry since 2022, when they made their debut with the studio album Væb tékk. In 2023, they would see their first charted song, a remix of Ofbođslega frægur (2023) in collaboration with Ingi Bauer, which debuted at 17 on the Tónlistinn.

Væb competed in Söngvakeppnin 2024 with the song 'Bíómynd'. While they advanced to the final and did not win, it was the most popular song from the national selection as it was the only one to reach the top 10 in the Icelandic charts.
