Erika Vikman
Erika Vikman first started her career in several TV shows before winning the Tangomarkkinat-festival in 2016. Three years later she signed a record deal with Warner Music and Mökkitie Records. In 2020 Erika participated in UMK with her song "Cicciolina" placing second. The next year the singer released her self-titled album which reached number one in the Finnish album charts.
The UMK jury says about Erika's song:
– It combines traditional Finnish disco with a remarkable composition and lyrics, wrapping it up with the rave aesthetic of electronic music.
Erika herself says about her song for Eurovision:
– In this song you take control. Everything related to your sexuality is in your own hands. Pleasure should not be taboo.

The Final was broadcast for international audiences from Yle Areena starting at 20:00 CET. The broadcast also included English-language commentary.
The hosts of UMK 2025 were Sanni and Jasmin Beloued.
Finland in Eurovision
Finland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961, and has participated ever since, except six years, mostly because of previous years' poor results.
The Finnish have won the competition once, in 2006, with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah," performed by Lordi. Since then, Finland's best result is a 2nd place finish in 2023.
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Finland has qualified for the Grand Final 12 out of 20 times.
