Eurovision 1993 Qualification
Kvalifikacija za MillstreetQualification for Millstreet
Following the political events in Europe, especially the opening up of Eastern Europe and the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the number of countries wishing to participate in Eurovision Song Contest grew strongly. EBU decided to expand the number of participating countries from 23 to 25, meaning that three more countries could join (except Yugoslavia). Seven new countries held their own pre-qualifying round, called "Kvalifikacija za Millstreet" to select the three countries to take part in Eurovision 1993.
Each of the seven countries had a jury that gave points to the other six countries: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5 points.
