The newest Supernova is Dons, who won the Latvian selection for Eurovision 2024 with the song "Hollow"
Latvia has decided!
Despite not qualifying six years in a row, Latvia's broadcaster (LTV) is not turning its back on Eurovision. Tonight, 10 hopefuls took the stage for the Supernova 2024 Final in Riga.
Voting to determine the Latvian Eurovision representative consisted of a combination of jury and public voting. They chose Dons with the song "Hollow" to represent them at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö.
Dons was the clear favorite to win Supernova 2024, both among the bookmakers and all of you who voted in our Supernova Poll.
"Hollow" was written by Artūrs Šingirejs, Kate Northrop and Liam Geddes.

Dons is one of the most popular singers in Latvia, having received the Top Radio Hit award for most played song seven times at the Latvian Music Recording Awards. He has released nine albums to date.
Dons studied piano at the Saldus Music School, subsequently devoting himself to music. He became well-known in 2003 after winning Talantu Fabrikā. The third time's a charm: He tried to represent Latvia at Eurovision two times finishing second before he finally was on top of the podium this year. The first time was in 2010, when he was the runner up in Eirodziesma 2010, with the song "My Religion is Freedom." The second time was in Dziesma 2014 with the song "Pēdējā vēstule," when he also finished second.
He's been a judge at Supernova two times: The first edition in 2015, and again in 2017.
