Israel has decided: Michael Ben David to Eurovision 2022

Michael Ben David wins the Israeli X Factor and will represent Israel at Eurovision 2022 with the song "I.M"

The Israeli version of the X Factor is a wrap and concluded with the victory of Michael Ben David who performed "I.M".

With the victory, Michael Ben David also gets the honour of representing Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Tonight's show, hosted by Liron Weizman, featured two different rounds. During the first round, the finalists had to perform a cover song in the form of battles that ended up with Sapir Saban being eliminated. During the second round, the remaining three presented their candidate Eurovision song.

The decision was made by the X Factor jury worth 25%, a professional committee also worth 25% and the televoting worth 50%.

Michael Ben David

Michael Ben David is a 25-year-old Israeli singer. He's from the city of Petah Tikva.

Michael is openly gay and has shared that he was born to a Ukrainian Orthodox Jewish family, and previously shared that he suffered abuse growing up for being gay.

He is better known for his indie-pop music style and for his falsettos.
