Eurovision Song Celebration Semi-Final 2: What happened?
Eurovision Song Contest's official YouTube channel treats fans with a second installment of a special semi-final replacement show
Today in Rotterdam, the second semi-final would have been held with 18 countries battling out for a place in the final for Saturday 16 May. France, Spain and the United Kingdom, would have voted in this semi-final and also presented their entry.
A few weeks ago it was announced that an alternative show, the Eurovision Song Celebration would be replacing the idea of a contest for the one of a celebration in order to pay homage to the entries. Tuesday 12 May, the first show was broadcast on YouTube.
Similar to the first show, we were joined by Janouk Kelderman who is hosting the celebration and sharing with the viewers surprises, emotional moments and even a running order.

After the semi finalists were presented, the entries of three from the Big 5 countries were also introduced:

Eurovision Song Celebration: Semi-Final 2– The Show
The second semi-final kicked off at 21:00 CEST. After a short introduction by Janouk Kelderman, the songs presentation started.
Once the first five songs were seen, Samanta Tina (Latvia 2020), Alicja (Poland 2020) and Vincent Bueno (Austria 2020) sang a snippet of their entry in their native language.
After the first ten songs we watched some clips from Eurovision Home Contests which were being uploaded on a weekly basis through the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. Gjon's Tears (Switzerland 2020), Stefania (Greece 2020) James Newman (United Kingdom 2020) and Tom Leeb (France 2020) gave us a virtual home tour while Senhit (San Marino 2020) talked about her dog pet, Buddy.
Famous YouTubers return and reacted to a few songs of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
We also watched a second fan recap that featured fans from all over the world dancing, singing and lip syncing to the songs presented tonight.
