Laika Party! Emmy wins Eurosong and will represent Ireland at Eurovision 2025
Emmy has won Eurosong 2025 with the song "Laika Party" and will represent the country at this years Eurovision in Basel
Once again the Irish talk show The Late Late Show was used to find the country's representative for Eurovision 2025 in Basel.
In total six acts competed in Eurosong 2025 for the ticket to be flying the Irish flag at this year's contest. The show was hosted by Patrick Kielty, and took place in Studio 4 at the RTÉ Television Centre in Dublin.
The winner was decided by an international as well as a national jury and the televote from the Irish public. Emmy won the ticket to represent Ireland with the song "Laika Party" on the Eurovision stage in May. The song was written by Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Erlend Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Henrik Østlund, Larissa Tormey, and Truls Marius Aarra.
Emmy got 10 points from the international jury and 12 points from each the national jury and the Irish televote.

Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen is a Norwegian singer who started writing her own songs at the age of seven – sometimes together with her brother.
In 2015 she participated in Melodi Grand Prix Junior with the song "Aiaiaiai."
Six years later she participated in the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix 2021 with her song "Witch Woods."
Emmy also participated in writing the song "Woman Show" which was part of last year's Norwegian national selection competition for Eurovision.
She has also worked with producers such as K-391 and Braaheim. Besides her music career, Emmy also works as a freelance graphic designer.
Emmy was a part of the Norwegian jury for Eurovision 2023.

Ireland has been part of Eurovision since 1965, with 57 appearances since then. They have qualified for the Grand Final 9 out of 20 times since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004. They finished last in their Semi-finals in 2019 and 2021.
