Rim Tim Tagi Dim! Croatia has selected Baby Lasagna for Eurovision 2024
Baby Lasagna won Croatia's national selection contest and will represent the country in Eurovision 2024 with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim"
Out of 24 initial acts throughout this past week only 16 made it through to Croatia's Dora 2024 Final, taking the stage one last time in hopes of flying to Malmö in May to represent their nation in Eurovision 2024.
Tonight's Final was, like the Semi-finals, held in HRT's studios in Zagreb, and hosted by actor Duško Čurlić, TV hostess Maja Ciglenečki, and journalist Anja Cerar. Let 3 (Croatia 2023), also competing at this year's show, performed as the interval act.
The decision was split between the televote (worth 50%), the international jury (25%), and the Croatian jury (25%). Once all votes were counted, Baby Lasagna was declared the winner with the song "Rim Tim Tagi Dim."
"Rim Tim Tagi Dim" was written by Baby Lasagna (Marko Purišić) himself.
Dora 2024 – Final
Baby Lasagna
Marko Purišić (stage name: Baby Lasagna) is a 28-year-old Croatian singer and songwriter.
He became known to the public for his participation in the Croatian rock band, Manntra. From 2011 until 2016, and then from 2018 until 2022, he was the band's guitarist, and even joined Dora in 2019 with the band, coming in fourth.
Last year, Marko (now known as Baby Lasagna) pursued a solo career and started releasing music on his own. That's when "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" came to life and ended up amongst the Dora 2024 lineup.
Baby Lasagna cites Rammstein, System of a Down, Vivaldi, and Beethoven as his main influences.
Dora 2024
Croatian broadcaster HRT opted to continue using Dora to select who will represent them at Eurovision.
Dora 2024 consisted of three shows:
Hosted by Duško Ćurlić and Maja Ciglenečki. The first 12 acts competed with eight moving on to the Final. Voting was determined by 100% televote.
Hosted by Duško Ćurlić and Anja Cerar. The remaining 12 acts competed with eight moving on to the Final. Voting was again determined by 100% televote.

The Final was hosted by Duško Ćurlić, Maja Ciglenečki and Anja Cerar. The 16 finalists performed and the winner was determined by 25% national jury, 25% international jury, and 50% public vote.
All three shows were broadcast live from HRT Studios in Zagreb.
Croatia in Eurovision
Croatia has participated in Eurovision Song Contest 28 times since their debut in 1993. The first victory for Croatia in Eurovision is yet to come. The best result is two 4th place finishes; in 1996 (Maja Blagdan - "Sveta Ljubav") and 1999 (Doris Dragovic - "Marija Magdalena").
Since the introduction of the Semi-finals in 2004, Croatia has qualified for the Grand Final 8 out of 17 times. They withdrew from Eurovision 2014 and 2015 due to financial limitations and poor results in the contest.
