Andrea wins North Macedonia's Za Evrosong 2022, and will represent the country at Eurovision 2022 with the song "Circles"

The official lineup for Eurovision 2022 keeps on growing as more and more countries conclude their national selections. Tonight, North Macedonia decided.

Six songs were competing for the honour of representing the Balkan country in Turin but, in the end, Andrea gathered the biggest amount of votes with the song "Circles".

The decision was split between an international jury and an online voting each worth 50%.

Andrea Koevska

Andrea Koevska, or Andrea, was born in Skopje. She's 21 years ago and started following her passion for music at only 5 while she was living in New York.

Nonetheless, her breakthrough only happened in 2020 when musical producer, Aleksandar Masevski, discovered her through the musical covers she posted on Instagram.

Za Evrosong 2022

Za Evrosong 2022 was North Macedonia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The show featured two hosts, one of them being Jana Burčeska (North Macedonia 2017).

The national selection did not feature any live performances, only interviews with the acts. Dajte Muzika, who represented the country at last year's Junior Eurovision, were part of the show as well as Tamara Todevska (North Macedonia 2019).

North Macedonia in Eurovision Song Contest

North Macedonia first appeared in Eurovision Song Contest 1998 and has been participating 20 times, until 2018 as FYR Macedonia (Former Yugoslavia Republic of Macedonia).

North Macedonia 2019: Tamara Todevska - "Proud"

North Macedonia hasn't had the greatest results in Eurovision. The best result was in 2019, where Tamara Todevska won the jury voting, and finished 7th overall with the song "Proud". They never came last, but only managed to qualify for the Grand Final 6 times out of 17 since the introductions of semi-finals in 2004. The last 13 years they have only qualified for the Grand Final two times.
