KEiiNO from Norway: Releases first single after Eurovision 2019

Norway's 2019 representatives have a new single out. "Praying" marks the trio's first release since winning Eurovision's 2019 televote and coming out as the overall 6th favorite

A great Pop production featuring empowering lyrics and an unique joiking? Yes! We're talking about KEiiNO - the group built of two men and a woman who have blown Eurovision's viewers away and ended up winning the televote at this year's competition.

Following the "Spirit In The Sky" trend, "Praying" doesn't let their Pop sound die. Nonetheless, it does feature a few differences sonically. It still is an upbeat and an empowering song but production-wise, it departs slightly from the previous Europop sound and is more focused in an EDM sort of vibe with a more mature sound.

The song was written by the group's three members - Tom Hugo, Fred Bulgo and Alexandra Rotan - along with Alexander Olsson, Henrik Tala and Rüdiger Scramm. It speaks about self-acceptance and feeling good about ourselves which is the core of KEiiNO, who back in Tel Aviv spoke to Eurovisionworld more about it.

"Praying" has been made available in all streaming platforms and has had a lyric-video released on YouTube.

In 2009, Alexander Rybak's Fairytale was the song that has received most points with the old voting system: 387 points – got 12 points from 16 countries. But Norway holds another Eurovision record: The country that ended last most times – 10 last places!

Since the introduction of Semi-finals in 2004, Norway has been very succesful with qualification to the Grand Final 13 out of 16 times.
