The 10 artists and songs competing in Iceland's Söngvakeppnin 2025 have been released. Listen to the songs and vote in our poll: Who should win Söngvakeppnin 2025?

Iceland is continuing with the national selection they use to decide their Eurovision representative, Söngvakeppnin. The format they have used since 2013.

Today, Icelandic broadcaster RÚV unveiled the ten artists and their songs competing in this year's edition. The ten have been selected from 110 songs submitted to the broadcaster.

All the artists will preform the Icelandic version of their song in their respective Semi-final as usual. The six artists who advance to the final will have the option to sing their song in any language.

Söngvakeppnin 2025

Söngvakeppnin 2025 is Icelands national selection process to determine who will represent them on the Eurovision stage in Basel this May. It will consist of three shows: two Semi-finals and one Final:

  • 8 February 2025: Semi-final 1
  • 15 February 2025: Semi-final 2
  • 22 February 2025: Final

Both Semi-finals will see five acts compete, with three from each one advancing to the final, determined by 100% public voting. The six acts performing in the final will undergo 50% jury and 50% public voting to determine who will be crowned the winner and head to Eurovision 2025.

All three shows will be held at RVK Studios in Reykjavík and will be hosted by Benedikt Valsson, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir, and Fannar Sveinsson.
