Iceland: Sigga, Beta & Elín to Eurovision 2022 with "Með hækkandi sól"

The three sisters Sigga, Beta & Elín win the Final of Söngvakeppnin 2022 tonight and will represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin with their song "Með hækkandi sól"

Tonight the final of the Icelandic national selection Söngvakeppnin 2022 took place live from Reykjavík. Two acts from each Semi-final qualified for the show and the broadcaster decided to give an additional spot via wildcard to one of the artists who did not qualify by the televote.

The final was then decided in two rounds of voting: In the first round 50% televote as well as 50% jury votes selected the two acts going to the Superfinal. Pure girl power!

The final winner was then chosen completely by the public: Sigga, Beta & Elín with "Með hækkandi sól". At Eurovision 2022 the three sisters will perform under the name Systur.
